downloading the newer versions of the 45 & 48 class loco's from steam4me a few days ago and not wanting buffers on my candy 45's as usual double clicking on batch file change_ buffer 45xx.s file now has changed to 45xx.bak so no shape file no loco .
Double clicking again on change_buffer restored things back to normal trying again change_buffer and renaming 45xx.bak to 45xx.s gave me back the loco but with the buffer still in place just wondering if anybody else having this problem ?

I downloaded the 48ers,
It had the .S files, but I didn't see any BAK files.

But it's absolutely great news that steam4me are uploading back the locos and rollingstock that were forced to be taken off due to the copyright issues a while back.

I'm glad it's back on the downloading section ;)
I just wish James Brook's 4201 in it's 125th Anniversary Edition livery will be back on the section sooner or later.

Hi Jeffmary,
You are right when you run the batch file all that it does is to rename some of the locos shape file to a" .bak file".

Regards Geoff.

Just downloaded the 45s and everything worked fine.

I just wondering if you guys are using Vista, if so are the folders permissions set correctly. If they aren't, set the user permissions for the folder to allow both read & write.

thanks popey

good old fashion XP here I think amwleis (geoff) is using vista , I checked all files and all are read write I feel though if it were the problem the shape files wouldn't be changing to bak files

Hi,
The 35s had no problem with them,my mistake.
The 45s are OK now.
I think the 48s still have problems.
