I have been a bit quiet lately due to work and payware commitments.
I just thought that I would show you a couple of payware teasers that I have been working on.
the SOP set has been a long time in the making and I have rebuilt it quite a few times to get to where I am finally happy with it.
I just have to finish off the buffet cars and it will be off for testing.

Hi Brian, Thanks for your update and screenshots for the coming Spirit of Progress pack, definately one for the Vic NE Mainline should be great to see it racing North.
Regards,
Robert.
Now we just need to get you a decent side-on picture of S301 in ferric red to get the numbering, and some consists. Looks like I know what I'm doing one night this week after work
Wow... Very nice! I still want S301 without the doors, and with plate cow catcher though I do have one question though. Does that CS van look too long to anyone else? The CS, according to the diagrams on Peter Vincent's site, is 60ft uncoupled (with full width corridor connections), and 59'8" coupled.
The BS (standard 'skinny' corridor connections) 75' uncoupled, and 74'8" uncoupled.

You are going to hate me even more, Russ.
I am a bit surprised that nobody has picked up there should be three windows per each sliding door on the CS van, and the small "VR" lettering on the Dining Car and CS van should be omitted, as these were only put on the SOP cars after they were placed on standard gauge in 1962. The sliding door windows were also altered to single windows (the two outer windows were blanked off) around the same time.
To quote Bugs Bunny: "Ain't I a stinker!"

From the blueprints it had one door to allow them to be able to load the food in.
The CS has 3 windows (Not shown in the screenie) I admit I got the shapes mixed up and a quick cut and paste has fixed that.
Car is 60 ft long as per plans.
Now the DS, did it have windows or were they blanked out?
Did wimmera, Tanjil and Mitta Mitta have no VR as well?

None of the carriages had "VR" on them until they were placed on standard gauge.
Not to sure about the DS van. I would surmise that it did have windows in the doors for natural lighting. I'm not sure if it had the same amount of doors as the CS though...

Can't wait to put her to the ultimate test. Who here wants to see me run it at a World speed record when It's release?

Well, here's your Challenge !!! Good luck !!!
Joseph's original 3801 and Michael's original HUB set, coming down off the Blue Mountains towards Penrith - record attempt - 18th December 2003 - driver Brian Bere-Streeter, fireman AI Joe.
You'll need to click the 'Show full size' button above the opened image, to read the final speed figure (just as well there were no fuzz with a radar gun at the bottom of the hill - I'd loose my drivers license for sure !!!).
