Hi CJ,

The only ‘modern’ Rio Tinto loco I have built is a very simple CM44-9CW in Pilbara Rail livery as a scenery object, not a drivable loco.

Are you intending to build a new 3D loco model or reskinning an existing one?

Cheers,

Marek.

Hi CJ,

Sorry mate I miss-read your original post. You wrote, “Is any one…” but I read ‘I am…’.

I got a bit excited and thought another Pilbara railway was going to be modelled which is why I posted my reply.

Hi CW60AC,

There is a Pilbara Rail CM44-9W - a reskin of the NALW GE pack available for download at Trainsim.com. I have looked for loco's or rollingstock from the Western Australian mining area and that was the only loco to come up in my search.

Cheers & good luck
Peter

As well as those CM44-9W locos, Michael Forster has also reskinned Dick Cowen’s SD50’s to Hamersley Iron livery and these are available from trainsim.com file library. File names are hi6060.zip and hisd50.zip.

Pinto Nicolas has repainted [sic] Jan Henning Gettkant’s C636 into Robe livery and this is also available from the trainsim.com file library. File name is robec.zip

Unfortunately, as far as I know, no Robe, Hamersley, Rio Tinto ore cars have been released. I have a partially completed Tomlinson ore car that I will release if there is any demand for them. Just a matter of finding the time.

Cheers,

Marek.
