The Barossa/midnorth route is now only a number of days off beta. It has been completely resignalled after something was found to be noticably inadequate with the first lot. A large number of scenery tweaks and touch ups have taken place to better reflect its 1960ish setting. As a result, there are now much fewer trees on the Gawler and Angaston lines. Towns such as Elizabeth and Smithfield are depicted as rural areas, with Elizabeth just starting to be built as is Broadmeadows, and the urban area still ends at the Dry Creek freight yard only 12kms from the Adelaide CBD.

Just a quick update on the sound files, the 400 class garratt is coming along nicely and is probably a little over half done. I am also working on the redhens which is in the early stages (only have an idle rev and in cab horns done at the present time).
Because I have a pile of TAFE work that needs to be done, these files will take some time.
Can't say how much I'm looking forward to the finished Red Hen sounds Will
Update for today. The redhen sounds are now pretty much complete and need an SMS file to go with them. If anyone can cobble one together for this as well as the T and 400 class garratt files, I can email the sound files over to you ASAP.

Looking forward to the teaser clips Will! (The unmodified ones of course)

William, I have tinkered around with a few SMS files, and I have found that the horn comes out very muffled in the game. It appears to be no fault with the wav file, as the wav sounds just fine on the desktop
Maybe someone with more experience with SMS files can fill me in on this

Sadly, I've become side tracked with a lot of other things (TAFE especially) and I am now on a new laptop which means I have still settling in again. Until now, I had sorta forgot to thanks for reminding me, I'll get on it.

To Allan. I was travelling on the Overland from Geelong to Adelaide on Tuesday and from about Wolseley inwards I couldn't help thinking how much it resembled your MSTS route. I thought the same when I visited Victor Harbor. Allan you've certainly done an excellent job.
On another topic I visited the casino tonight, just to have dinner and to look inside the upstairs part of Adelaide station. I would have loved to have seen the station a few decades ago when the whole station was in use with long distance/country trains coming and going. The station resembles the pictures I've seen of American terminals.
Thanks Geoffrey. I was able to "walk the route" for Victor Harbour, and a friend did two trips to Serviceton and took around 3,000 photos for me, when I was no longer to travel that far. John Masson supplied 90% of the info for Wolseley to Mt Gambier.
You have a PM.
Cheers
Allan
