Hi,
My Video Card just died and I am now using the on board video.
Does anyone know where I can get hold of a decent PCI-E video card?
I am using Vista on my PC.

Regards Geoff

Hi,
Been away from home as my Mum got sick and was transfered to Orange hospital.
She is getting better.

I obtained a Nvidea card and downloaded the latest driver but it still flashes as in the horizontal and vertical planes.
Platforms, the horizontal textures for example flash.

I have tried the settings Bernard Grant posted on the Mophouse forum but no good.

Could Russell or Rowie or some one with Nvidea card take a snapshot of there Nvidea Video Control settings and post it,
it would be appreciated.

Regards Geoff

It could be a Vista thing with the drivers.
Try updating to the latest Nvidea drivers.

I agree, download from here:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_winvista_32bit_191.07_whql.html

Vista is a funny beast, i'm running a older Nvidia 8800GT card and using the latest drivers (above) with no problems at all, also running Windows 7 with the same, all good.

Cheers,

Craig.

Hi,
The video card is a Geforce 9500 GT with 512mb of memory.
I have installed the latest driver version 191.07.

The problem still exists.
I would describe it as a shimmer more than flashing actually.

I would try running XP or Windows 7 except I do not wish to stuff up this PC.
Since Craig has no problem using Vista I will persist in trying to solve the problem.

I have tried different Msts settings and normally run Msts at 1280x1024x32bit.

I will try some different settings in the Nvidea control panel some more.

Thanks for the replies.

Regards Geoff.

Hi,
I found another list of settings for the Nvidea control panel.
The platform textures are now OK and the trees no longer look like they are rustling in a breeze.

I will post these settings when I get a chance.

Regards Geoff.

Thanks for sharing these settings Geoff.
Have set my card the same and I have lost the artifact flashes that I used to get from time to time.

Hi Geoff, thanks for that, did have a bit of flashing going on in some routes
with my old 8800GT Nvidia, This seems to have made a difference.
