The Mid North and Barossa route is now released on steam4me. It can be downloaded at http://steam4me.railpage.org.au/trainsi ... north.html

Also just released are Allan Lownsborough's lovely 620 class engines. These may be downloaded at http://steam4me.railpage.org.au/trainsi ... ar620.html

Enjoy

Michael,
Got the route running but still to explore it.
Might be an idea to explain where the Scaleroads files are to be installed.
That may trip up some users trying to install the Route.

Regards Geoff

The installers should take care of this.

The textures are copied to the route's textures folder through the steam4me installer. The Scaleroad installer copies the shapes to the MSTS global folder. Should be ready to roll after that as long as Newroads and Xtracks are installed

Thanks Michael for your time and effort given to the release of Mid North to Barossa Route, another fine Route to add to the collection of Aussie Routes.
WELL DONE.
Cheers. Robert.

Michael
Thanks for a magnificent effort on the Mid North route.
I've just finished taking a 520 class (523) locomotive & 7 passenger cars through to Angaston, absolutely fabulous.
I'm looking forward to exploring the rest of the route.

Regards
Ian :)

Thanks a lot for the positive comments. Release of the route certainly went more smoothly than I thought it would.

My next route covers a small bit of old ground then gallavants off somewhere on its own, in a part of the world that should hopefully look fairly familiar to any former SAR railwaymen visiting this forum. There are a number of well known yards, but no Nintendo 64 style embankments this time as I have modelled some custom berms that go under the ballast and snap together with built in culverts and bridges quite neatly. Generally speaking though, it will have a lot of similarities to the MNB route. More info as additional progress is made.

By the way Ross, what's with the T class making a trip to Angaston?

Next you'll be double heading 520s on a Terowie express with an F class pushing at the rear!

Edit: It'll look something like this

Fantastic effort Michael. Its been a pleasure running the rails to the Barrossa and back. Still cant get it to run on the desktop but running well on the laptop - go figure. As we live close by Michael came around and helped which I was grateful for and I met a charming guy with a lot of knowledge of railroading far beyond his young years. As an old timer I just love the smell of steam on these tracks I grew up with. Onya Michael and thanks.
