Peter has been nice enough to Share his Reskins of my G class on this site.
3 SCT G classes and 1 National Rail Steelink BL.
They will look good on your favorite route.
Dont forget to thank Peter for his hard work.
Find them in the Diesel Locomotive section.
Just one little thing...G511 has never carried the full SCT livery. It was repainted but has no decals. Prehaps it can be renumbered to G512, G513 or G515 and an unfinished G511 provided. Here's a picture from last month of it
Cheers for the kind words Nathan I have made G512-G515 G521 G532 G533 G535 all for my own personal use. I just thought I would put the class leader in there, I din't have any pics of G511 to work from so I do appoligise for my error
They look fantastic mate, well done! Another thing that sticks out would be the logo on the side. It's actually pretty much dead center on the side, as seen here:

Thanks Tom, Gavin & Peter for the feedback. These are my 1st attempts at reskinning, I realise the logo is dead centre and I will work on em till it is. I just thought we needed some more modern content for MSTS. I will keep at it

pedromchorn
many thanks pedromchorn many thanks to you and others everyone in the forum for what they have done with aussie loco's since I've been involved in msts I seen us Aussies like Rus, Brian ,Michael ,Chris , Allan and others produce freeware content equal to US payware but I think where we fail is the lack of activities on these routes. Though I have a great love of train been there done that and bought T shirt in most cases along the coast of Oz but never lived near a mainline the Blue Mts being clostest to me For those who live near mainlines and for those who dont but can create activities my maybe share a little more in this forum .
Cheers Fellas had a bit of a play around to try centre SCT logo tonight realised that I used Russell's G class model tried a BL reskin & this is what it turned out like Cheers Peter

Nice work Peter.
May I offer a suggestion? The red arcs on the sides appear to run further towards the centre of the loco on the prototype. If you look at the point where the arcs run down to the base of the loco on the prototype, they end about half a metre inboard of the inner end of the bogie.
Just a small point, but one which would improve even further on your terrific effort.
Interesting little story about the SCT Gs. We see the ones hired by El Zorro from time to time here at Junee Railway Workshop. As most of you would know, the first series Gs had the toilet door in the cab, and the smell can be somewhat overpowering. G514 came in with a note in the logbook saying that there was "a smell in the toilet which will outlast religion." Indeed, it was pretty nasty!
Thankfully for the crews, they moved the toilet door out of the cab into the next compartment on the later Gs.
