Hi,
If you wish to try the Odessa Route this what I have done.

1. Down load these 2 files "zdsRoute_Odessa_v1_0.exe" and "zdsRoute_Odessa_textures_v1_0.exe" from

http://www.zdsim.kiev.ua/

These are the direct links.

http://get.zdsim.kiev.ua/msts/routes/zd ... a_v1_0.exe

http://get.zdsim.kiev.ua/msts/routes/zd ... s_v1_0.exe

Install both files and run the "Install me" Batch file found in the Odessa route folder.

2. Down load this file "zdsRoute_Odessa_Patch_v1_1.exe" and install it.
http://get.zdsim.kiev.ua/msts/routes/zd ... h_v1_1.exe

3. Delete the ACTIVITIES,PATHS,SERVICES and TRAFFIC folders from the Route.

4. Down load this file "Odessa_Fix.rar" and unzip and copy resultant Program Files folder into the Drive Msts is installed on.
Allow to over write.
http://www.4shared.com/file/113918587/b ... a_Fix.html

The route is now ready to be explored.

The Activities I have made are only to provide paths to be used in explore the route mode only.

There is no extra rolling stock required to run the route.

Enjoy Geoff

Hi Ross,
Even though I have had the route working for ages I did a fresh install as above.
I still had the downloaded files from before.
Every thing went real smooth and now the stations ect can be seen I know where things are on the route.

Enjoy Adelaide.

Geoff.

Hi there Geoff

the steps you have above for downloading that route are they the same steps you take to get the kuban route to run as I have down loaded the main 427 meg .then the 1.1v patch at 87i think meg then a 3 odd meg patch then a 6 meg patch . But still no go .I click on the Kuban in the route section of the sim and the train sim crashers

Any help would be great

Hi L class fan,
After installing the zdsRoute_Kuban_v1_0.exe (437mb) file run the install me batch file found in the Kuban route Folder.
Also delete the paths folder in the route.

Then install the zdsRoute_Kuban_v1_1.exe (87mb) file.

Then you only need to install the (6mb) fix file.

Try running the install me batch file if you have not already.
If that does not work uninstall the route and reinstall as above.

If you have installed the route straight into your Msts folder the uninstall file is in the Train Simulator folder
and its icon looks the same as the install icon.
There should be two of them, one for each installer.

I run all installers to a temporary folder first so I can see what is being installed then copy the resulting files to Msts.
For example if there are new global files being installed I will make a backup copy of my global folder before copying to Msts.

See how you go.

Hi Brian,
I take it you installed and ran the Odessa route.
If so great.
I have 3 other russian routes that are of equal quality.
More discussion on those later.

If any one who has tried these russian routes and can make any activities using
available Aussie rolling stock or from trainsim.ru

http://www.trainsim.ru/

I would appreciate that.

Enjoy Geoff.
