Ok here are the rules. these will be updated from time to time as the need arises so check this out everynow and again.

This is a MSTS only Forum, discussion about Trainz or KRS is not permitted unless its to say how much better MSTS is.
Very Happy Also I want this to be a family friendly site help us keep it that way. Very Happy
"Be nice to one another" developers we sometimes know things that perhaps we might think "that is so simple". Users on the otherhand may be perplexed by this same problem so try to put yourselves in there shoes and be helpful.

.I will tolerate NO flaming, NO swearing and NO racsism. Evil or Very Mad
.Moderators make the decisions and ADMINS HAVE THE FINAL WORD. Don't argue with Moderators or Administrators.
.Search the entire board before posting.
.Avatars and signature will be done in good taste.
.Maintain a valid email address so you can be contacted.
.Requests are only allowed in the Request Forum and you are allowed only one request per post.

Dont annoy the developers one question is allowed as to a possible completion date. If someone has posted one already that is it. No further questions are allowed on when will the project be ready!
This is a pretty touchy subject so please respect their right to not be spammed with requests like this.

.If you have a problem PM a Moderator or Admin and we will see what can be done.
.No Spamming the board trashy meaningless posts will be pared back.

Youngsters there are some bad people out on the net so only use your first name or better yet a nickname.
NEVER give out your full name, age, address, Email or phone number to anyone via PM or message.
If someone asks for a meeting, your photo, address or phone number or acts in an unseemly way tell your parents and inform a Moderator or Admin so we can document this and take action.

Please DO NOT discuss the copyrite debacle this is one topic that is bound to always turn into a war. By now we all know the ins and outs of this so discussion is pointless.
This leads to finger pointing, people get uppity and emotions start to rage and before you know it threads are locked.
What will that then prove, the answer is It proves nothing.

Its quite Ok to ask a question such as I am building a model, route or a reskin and I need to gain permissions from ect how or where will I get this but anything outside of this context is Definitely out of bounds.

I feel very strongly on this having been affected by it and have seen the damage it can do to a forum first hand as most of you have as well.

So in the words of that great man Basil Faulty "Dont mention the war"!

I dont want to lock threads as that shows things have got out of control and we are then left looking a bit silly. Embarassed

I am stating once and only this one time that this is a subject that will have my finger hovering over the delete message button and admininister the apparatus which TLD has kindly lent me.

Russell

Just a quick note re the board copyright. That is the textual content of the posts here (as opposed to the MSTS debate).

The general legal principle for message boards is that you grant copyright to the owner of the board, and the owner of the board may republish - or profit from - the content of your posts (remember we're not talking about your models here) as they see fit and without notice or payment to you, but you the user retain the right to republish YOUR OWN work.

That's all high talkin' waffle though: short version is you can repost your own posts here on other boards/blogs/etc, but not other people's without the consent of them and also Russell. That's just common courtesy though.

I'm only a bush lawyer, but that's the general gist of it.
