Hi everyone I thought that I would start this off with a bit of news about the progress of my Queensland route.
The DEM is in and Mnt Cootha will be visable via the distant mountains feature.
The track so far extends from Moolabin to Mayne about near the Ferny Grove flyover this is via Indooroopily.
The track is also laid from Moolabin to here via Yerongpilly and Brisbane south and I am finishing off the Flyover at Park rd that goes to Fishermans Island.
Getting everything to meetup without bieng able to use Dynamic track was a huge effort but it is well worth it.
the third track so far is in to Park rd and I expect to have the additional track in and connected up with the double line at Brisbane south Tonight.
My next effort will then be Roma st And the conection to Mayne via Central and Bowen hills.
For those who are not conversant with this area here is a map.
the lines in red have been laid so far.
Cheers Russell

| It will certainly be great to see Mount Cootha in the background. Are there television transmitters on or near Mount Cootha?

There are Television antennas on Mt Cootha but It will exceed the 2km vis limit so they wont show up.

G'day Russell,
Looking bloody good considering the short time you've been up here.
Saw a screenie of the Indooripilly bridge on another forum and it looks fantastic!
Hopefully this route may one day encompass the greater part of the Brisbane metro service, perhaps even as far afield as the Gold Coast and Brissy Airport.
Pending how well I do with your "tutorial" topic, I would certainly like to "lend a hand" with anything I could
Cheers,

There is always something that someone can do to contribute.
Be it Research, photos or structure building.
Every little bit helps.

| I'm looking forward to seeing the section from Southbank to Roma Street. It's one of my favourite parts of the Brisbane network.

| Hey Russell....when you are north bound, do you go via Park Rd or the western arm out of curiosity?

Most trains depart Moolabin Via Indooroopily then to mayne via exhibition.
Arrivals usually come in via Park Rd although sometimes it works in reverse but not that often.
there are a couple that run via Roma St and central but not that often either.
Cheers Russ

Russel,
Sorry I've forgotten how far north you said you were going but I was thinking this morning if you are going to go through Nambour would there be any chance of including part of the recently closed Sugar Cane tramway that ran along one of the main streets.
I just thought it would be an interesting feature to add to your route if possible.
Anyway keep up the excellent work.
