Boso View Express is a freeware japanese program that I must admit is quite good.
I models the physics of am electric train including the rocking motion very nicely.
A bit of guess work can be required to get it going though as its in japanese.
Here is a link
http://mackoy.cool.ne.jp/index4.html
Scroll down to BVE 4.2 unzip and install
then download and install uchibo10 zip _________________

Just to add further head over to www.trainsimcentral.co.uk for a great BVE forum and add-ons and its partner www.bve4.net for the wonderful Maybank route.

It's a bugger to get going in Vista, though. Apparently it can be done, but I tried by following some guy's instructions, and it didn't work.
The best BVE trains and routes, IMHO, were the original Japanese ones. I tried some London Underground routes and others, and they weren't bad, but the originals were great. Don't expect much in the way of scenery, but the physics were top notch.
I have heard some railways have actually used it as a platform for their training simulators. I don't know if this is true or not.
