G'day all, A couple of months ago I started a little personal project trying to lay the standard gauge on Russell's VR North East Route. I have managed to lay the track from Seymour Loop to just past the Jacana flyover with all the loops and crossovers put in. After running up and down the track few hundred times and deciding the route was still stable, I have started to put in some scenery items...
The crew of T320 on the up Mansfield goods patiently wait for a path as the up Daylight and Shepp pass race through Tallarook while crossing a down freight.
R761 & 3801 crossing Sunday Creek Road

X37 & T395 have just run around the apex while a down empty grain and a late running Aurora cross paths in the background.

Cheers for the nice comments all, I wanted to set it in the late 70's to mid 80's period so most of the sidings and branch lines are still there but while laying the standard gauge through Broadford I forgot to leave in the up refuge track which I have to put back in later. I don't do any modelling so I subsituted Ballan Box for Broadford with a little paintjob and mixed in 2 station buildings at Tallarook so the box is still on the platform with a brick building.
