Gidday Geoff,
Much better - you're improving rather fast now - good work.
Just another couple of things - the v-shape on the 'buffer' beams is far deeper on that Russian wagon than what is used in Oz - can I suggest that you reduce the height of the main frame by say 25-30% - this would make it just that bit more realistic (don't forget to re-position the part axis to the origin again) - also I like the 'work' platforms on the sides, better than wrapped around the filler domes (however, having said that, some of the modern frame-less tanks did have high level platforms, but it was not generally seen on framed-chassis tanks) - work platforms could also be made about 25-30% thinner in height.
One final thing, all framed-chassis tanks had an 'anchor plate' in the centre of the wagon - this was to anchor the tank firmly to the chassis - the anchor plate was riveted to the tank and to the chassis centre sill - have a look at my tanks, the Ampol and Golden Fleece ones show it to best advantage, although it is also in all the other tanks, except that it tends to get hidden in all that 'blackness' around the bottom of the tank.

Geoff when texturing the tank see how the top shows opposites and a definition line appears.
To fix this.
Select the tank.
Go into texture assignments F4
Now click left or right properties.
See the invert X box click it and it will flip the selected side texture to be a mirror image of the other side.
You only have to do this on one side left or right it doesnt matter.
Hi, I have made some hand rails with bends. Russell thanks for your lesson on bends. Brian I would like your thoughts on the changes I have made to the under frame. .
