For anyone contemplating taking up 3D modelling using gmax there is an improved tutorial based on Volker Bollig’s original.

The original tutorial is intact but has additional notation and advise which may clear up some potential grey areas. Images of gmax screens/menu options are now in English.

This tutorial also describes how to install and register gmax as the original tutorial was based on the situation in 2002 before gmax has been dropped by discreet.

There is now an Appendix with additional information that covers areas the original tutorial did not.
