It wouldnt have been finished without Brian Bere-Streeters help.
He has done just as much on these as I did and I am in his Debt for this assistance.
You will have to download Stuart Williamsons 3 Cylinder soundset off UK trainsim for the 3 cyl steam sounds and I have edited some SMS files to include a more suitable Whistle.
The added files will be in the installer.
Oh and Matt the old you (Before the Gym) is in the Firemans seat!!
Awsome work!
Just downloaded, now trying to get the sounds. UKtrainsim is a major punnish when trying to download anything. After getting to the front of the queue, it just hangs there and dont let you download anything.
Top work guys! Got two ideas for activities using the 58s that are a little out of the ordinary...might actually get me inspired to start working on MSTS Stuff again!

Lovely piece of work Russ.
I thought I'd post this pic;
Shows 5713 on the 100ft table at Junee, the size of which was chosen to suit these locomotives. When Junee Loco was designed in the early Forties, the 100ft table reflected the plan to service D57s here. The eastern shed (roads 1 to 21) was built with deeper roads, specifically to suit the D57 design.
My office at work is built on the end of No13 road, so each day I sit in a building, ten feet away from a track which was built to suit these locos. The roundhouse plans have a notation that the longer east-side shed roads were suitable 'to house D57 class engines.' So, these locos have had a small impact on my working life, nearly half a century after their withdrawal.
I also thought I'd include this shot as 5713 was one of five 57s cut up at Junee in 1964 I reguarly walk past the spot where they were gas-axed!
In terms of extra numbers, 5807 would be a good'un, as it and 5813 were built at Cardiff, and worked their way home on freights. Thus you would have some interesting consists which were prototypical.
One glaring omission from the 57s, however, is 5719 - the loco trialled on the Melbourne Express. Perfect for some activities on the Southern Highlands and Southern Main routes.

Brian has made a few Physics upgrades to the locomotives and Josh has made 2 new numbers D5711 and 5808.
You can find this upgrade in the Steam Locomotive section.
YOU MUST have the originals for this patch to work as the 2 new locos need textures that are common to the originals.

If it's Ok If i can add to your quote Russ.
Incase you were wondering how I'd made the road numbers well made in it's proper NSWGR on the buffers,
Mind you, I'd drawn it using My very steady hands (despice I have young bones, No suprise there) on GIMP using a PC Tablet Pen, been looking through my Railway Book that shows a photo of a D58 class on there, As much effort I done to make the road numbers as similar as the style type numbering style to make it exactly like it was shown on the picture on the Book.
And also thanks to Brian Bere Streeter too, As he's done a wonderful adjustments to the locos. Done a great effort to get them running in it's correct configuration as it was in real-life in the 1950s - 1960s. Well Done to you too Brian.
Hope you steam loco drivers enjoy running the upgrades on the D57 and D58 class locos. Good luck running them, and God bless.
Cheers,

Just a bit of extra info about running the 57's/58's up loooooooooooooooong grades - 100% regulator at 40% cutoff seems to do the trick - if the grade varies a little, you might have to go up to 45% or down to 35% occasionally - but at 40% they just seem to stamp up the hill at a nice steady pace.
