G'day Guys, When driving on MSTS with any locomotive on any route when my locomotive part of the train consist goes past the signals drop back from 'clear' to 'do not progress'. My question is, Is there a modification in the signal configuration file where you can change the signals 'switching point' from after the locomotive passes to the last piece of rolling stock passes? i.e gaurds van or passenger vehicle or freight vehicle.

Hello Matt,
Unfortunately not - the way MSTS configures its signalling system, limits the distance from the actual 'trigger point' on the track to the position of the signal post to only be about a 'scale' 100-120 feet maximum. So, the signal will automatically go to red by the time the locomotive passes. There is nothing that can be done about that in MSTS1, it's a 'hard wired' restriction in the sim, and is actually in the signal shape file 'positioning radius', rather than the configuration files in the route's root folder.

This is how it is in real life with track Circuited Signals. The moment the first Axle crosses the insulated bond in the rail the signal restores to Red. This is a safety feature.
